We are so thankful to be able to host the Happy Heart Walk at the Reservoir again, but we have to abide by some guidelines to ensure that it will go smoothly this year...and we need your help! We CANNOT accept money on the premise! So please be sure to order and pay for your t-shirts online (http://www.happyheartwalk.com/shirts.html). Also, we were so grateful for those of you that donated to the cause on the day of the event last year, either through overpaying for your shirts, giving us a donation for your yummy lunch, or writing a separate check or cash...if you would like to do this again, please consider mailing me a check made out to the Barth Syndrome Foundation to us or donating online (https://www.barthsyndrome.org/donate/events/branagh).
Lunch is completely free to you, thanks to some of our gracious Sponsors again this year! And believe me, it will be nice and delicious! Many of our sponsors donated knowing that their contribution for lunch will help us raise even more money, so if you would like to make a small donation for your family's lunch, please consider doing so through one of the ways mentioned above. Bring a picnic blanket!
For those of you who have never walked the Reservoir, it's a beautiful almost 3 mile trail around the water. It is hilly and I consider it a really good workout :) Stroller are welcome, but bikes and scooters are not allowed during the hours of the Happy Heart Walk. If you do not plan to walk, there will be plenty of lovely people to hang out with (or help!) at the picnic site, so feel free to hang there.
Parking...plan to give yourself a few extra minutes to find a parking spot! It will most likely get a little backed up coming up the hill, but there should be plenty of parking in main lot. If you find a meter parking spot, it costs $3 for 2 hours maximum and the machines only take quarters or credit cards. Otherwise, pull into the main lot under the American flag. It costs $7 for the day and takes quarters and credit cards only as well. The main lot is probably your best option, as you won't have to worry about putting more money in your machine after the 2 hours expires.

Ask friends, family, and neighbors to sponsor you in your walk to help cure Barth Syndrome, kids! Any kid anywhere can participate...just pick a place to walk and set a goal and get some sponsors! Come to Tillery Park to celebrate the 2nd Annual Happy Heart Event.
We will be doing this in tandem with the Lafayette event as we celebrate the life and journey of Henry Branagh.

When: Saturday, February 28th at 10:00 am
We will provide sweet treats and warm drinks as we raise funds and awareness of Barth Syndrome. This year we are doing a Kids Sponsorship (download the form above) so that our kids can participate and raise money. The kid's "race" will begin at 10:30 AM in the grassy area.
